Can you help?
Throughout the period of time your child spends at Alcester Grammar School there will be times when external experts will be invited into school to demonstrate or present their specialist area to the pupils where it compliments the curriculum. There will also be people invited in, who have particular skills, to help provide “mock interviews” to prepare the pupils for interviews which may be for further education opportunities such as university or placements in work. Many of these individuals are parents of past and current pupils.
The Parent’s Association keep a database of parents who would be prepared to help, who have a particular skill to offer. These skills can range from specialist language skills, IT, business, cake decorating, acting, film-making, setting up your own business, etc. It may be your career knowledge could be helpful at a careers evening or as a point of contact.
